Americans are 18-0-1 all-time in CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament
The United States women’s soccer team’s quest to advance to a seventh straight Olympics begins Tuesday night in Texas against Haiti.
Only two nations will advance from the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
The world champions are overwhelming favorites to advance to Tokyo this summer. Anything beyond winning at a canter would be a shock to the reigning world champions.
Tuesday’s match is the first of three games in seven days for the USWNT, all of which will be played at Houston’s BBVA Stadium. Tournament semifinals and finals will be in Carson, Calif. next month.

Satellite Beach native, Ashlyn Harris told reporters in November the program’s goal is to become the first nation to win the Women’s World Cup and Olympic title in consecutive years. In order to do so, Harris and the USWNT must first qualify for the Olympics.
Harris is one of three members of the squad with Florida ties. USWNT coach Vlatko Andonovski also called in Orlando Pride defender Ali Krieger and Orlando Pride midfielder Emily Sonnett to the national team.
Harris and Krieger were among the 13 players called up for this year’s CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament who were members of the Americans’ 2016 Olympic team.
