The Florida High School Athletic Association instituted a new playoff format this season with the aim of fielding a more competitive postseason and state tournament.

As high school soccer approaches the business end of the season, Official Florida FC will provide a rundown of the top varsity programs in the state.

Doral Academy and Niceville retain the top two spots in the final rankings of the season.

The Firebirds and Eagles, both undefeated, have both led the statewide rankings at periods this season. Doral (18-0-0), Niceville (20-0-2), Reagan (18-0-0), Boca Raton (23-0-0), Fort Lauderdale University School (16-0-2) and Tallahassee Maclay (18-0-0) all enter the FHSAA tournament unbeaten.

Because this is the final statewide rankings the FHSAA will release this season, we have extended the classification rankings from a Top 3 to the Top 5 in each classification.
