The Florida High School Athletic Association instituted a new playoff format this season with the aim of fielding a more competitive postseason and state tournament.

As high school soccer approaches the business end of the season, Official Florida FC will provide a rundown of the top varsity programs in the state.

The final regular season rankings feature a new No. 1 for the fourth time in four weeks. St. Johns Bartram Trail leaped over Tampa Academy of Holy Names and Plantation American Heritage. Tampa Plant, the only girls soccer team in the state to finish unbeaten, finished the final poll No. 13 in the state.

Because this is the final statewide rankings the FHSAA will release this season, we have extended the classification rankings from a Top 3 to the Top 5 in each classification.
