Port Orange Spruce Creek and Tampa Prep maintained their stranglehold atop the FHSAA boys soccer rankings that were released on Jan. 18. The Hawks (19-1-1) have been the No. 1 team all season long and appear to be a formidable out in the upcoming Class 7A playoffs.

Meanwhile, Tampa Prep’s place has been secured with victories over some of the best programs in its region this year, including reigning Class 3A champion Tampa Catholic as well as perennial powers Tampa Jesuit and St. Petersburg Shorecrest Prep. Tampa Prep is one of eight undefeated boys soccer teams in the state. The Terrapins have, by far, played the toughest schedule of the octet.
