The men’s FIFA World Cup kicks off on Nov. 20 when Qatar hosts Ecuador in Al Khor, Qatar.
The first World Cup in the Middle East will also be the first time the tournament is held in the middle of most club seasons.
Official Florida FC Founder and Editor Will Brown spoke with Florida Times-Union sports reporter Clayton Freeman about the tournament. The two broke down all eight groups and the four teams they expect to advance to the semifinals.
The U.S. men’s national team is in Group B with Wales (Nov. 21), England (Nov. 25) and Iran (Nov. 29). All three matches kick off at 2 p.m. EST.
