The FHSAA soccer season is racing toward the district playoffs.

Each Tuesday, after the FHSAA releases its official rankings, Official Florida FC will share which programs are the best in the Sunshine State.

While little more than regular season bragging rights are at stake, the FHSAA rankings are a good indicator of which teams will host once regional tournaments kick off in February.

The top four teams in the state – Montverde Academy, Plantation American Heritage, St. Johns Creekside and Ponte Vedra – all won state championships in 2024. Montverde has won 19 straight games, including a 2-1 win over statewide No. 8 Orlando Lake Highland Prep in December.

If the Eagles can enter the postseason unbeaten, they will have certainly earned the right to be called Florida’s best program. Montverde faces Creekside and Ponte Vedra on consecutive days  to conclude the regular season.
