The Florida High School Athletic Association girls soccer tournament kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Across the peninsula, 192 varsity soccer teams will vie for one of six state championships.
In Class 2A, Orange Park St. Johns Country Day is the No. 1 overall seed and favorite to win a ninth consecutive state championship. Jacksonville Bolles, Palm Harbor University and Plantation American Heritage will also seek repeats.
St. Johns Bartram Trail enters the postseason atop the FHSAA rankings. The Bears (16-1-3) have made the state semifinals in each of the last two seasons and are hungry for more in 2020.
