Florida State held off No. 11 Virginia on Sunday and a member of the Seminoles’ defense was recognized for the result.

Tuesday, redshirt senior Clara Robbins was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the first goals of her collegiate career in No. 2 Florida State’s 4-3 road victory. The Virginian scored the match-winner in Charlottesville in the 81st minute to help the Seminoles improve to 6-0-0.

Robbins, who had not scored in 50 previous appearances in garnet and gold, became the ninth different Seminoles player to score this season. Florida State averages 3.67 goals per game, the highest mark in Division I soccer.

The Seminoles will end the regular season at home against two of the ACC’s top defenses. No. 5 Duke (5-1-2, 3-1-2 ACC) will visit the Seminole Soccer Complex on Oct. 29. Florida State closes out the regular season on Nov. 1 against a Clemson (5-2, 4-2 ACC) squad that has conceded four goals in seven matches.

If Florida State wins both matches, the Seminoles would be guaranteed a share of the ACC regular season title for the first time in six years. Coincidentally, 2014 was the year the program won its first national championship.
