No. 16 FIU improved to 7-0-2 after Saturday’s road win over UAB. Alban Rousselet scored two goals to help the Panthers produce a third straight clean sheet.
The Panthers allowed eight goals in their first six games; but, have tightened things against Old Dominion, Stetson and UAB. In those three matches, FIU has allowed five shots on goal.
FIU will put its undefeated run on the line against 2018 national finalist Akron on Oct. 6. The Zips (0-7) have lost six of their seven matches by a single goal.
